ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY (AUP)

Acceptable use policy
This policy is subject to change, so please check regularly for updates. This policy is in addition to Calco UK Ltd Terms & Conditions.

Calco offers an "unlimited" account to free site owners from the worry of excessive bills and hidden charges. However there are limits and conditions placed on this service, the most important of which is that you must not re-sell or offer free as an inticement parts of the service(s) to other people/organisations.
For example:- sign up to our new fabulous website and get a free email address. This would not be fair use of our product(s).

We do however offer these services and you should call us if you need re-seller deals
If you need a larger number of email addresses attached to your accout that can still be included in your hosting fees, however you must use a managing account (a control panel) which currently costs from as little as 25 pounds per annum.

EMAIL

Large companies like Microsoft, Google, Yahoo and AOL regularly block email if they think it is spam. As such, we are now FORCED to limit customer emails to prevent them from being BLACKLISTED by the aforementioned companies.

Our servers are housed in large High Security buildings with redundant power called TELEHOUSES. They maintain the servers and keep them running 24 hrs a day. They are connected to the main internet trunks to offer the best speeds. They are located in Scotland, England, The Netherlands, Germany and the USA. (These locations may vary).

We have two main (UK) TELEHOUSES (and 3 others) supplying us with connectivity to the internet and it is THEY, not Calco who set the rules on how much email can be sent and how. These two telehouses for the purposes of identification, are LIVEMAIL and OUTITGOES. If you use or have seen the word LIVEMAIL in the email, then you use this system. If you have seen or used the word OUTITGOES then you are using this Telehouse. It is important to know which of the two telehouses you use as the rules are different. SO CALL US if you are not sure on 01599 534964 or email sales@calcouk.com and we will tell you.

1) LIVEMAIL :

For emails you are sending the limits are:

  • 10 mails in one instance
  • 50 mails in a 10 minute period
  • 500 mails in a 24 hour period
  • Max attachments are STANDARD 15mb - LEGACY 20mb - EXCHANGE 30mb
  • Capacity is STANDARD 100mb - ADVANCED 2Gb - EXCHANGE 25Gb

2) OUTITGOES

For emails you are sending, the limits are:

  • WebMail – 50 emails per day / 2mb attachment size limit
  • Desktop client or device – 500 emails per hour, with 100 recipients per email / 30mb attachment limit.
  • Website script that sends email – 1,000 emails every 12 hours
  • Mailing list – As many emails as you like, with 2,500 subscribers per list
  • CAPACITY : 1Gb
  • Other mailboxes are offered for sale at 10Gb / 30Gb capacity

GENERAL EMAIL RULES
Telehouse have a Zero Tolerance policy on users sending unsolicited email.  If their systems are deliberately used to send unsolicited email, they will IMMEDIATELY and without warning suspend the user’s account.
You may not re-sell mailboxes nor provide them even free of charge as part of a service or as an incentive, doing so will lead to suspension. We provide RE-SELLER packages for this purpose. Call us if you are in doubt. 01599 534964 or sales@calcouk.com

Telehouse MAY delete dormant mailboxes if they have not been used for 100 days. This does not apply to mailboxes with a capacity of 2Gb or more (i.e premium mailboxes).
